This post is a little late in coming, but I wanted to wish Camie a Happy 6th Birthday! Camie turned 6 on September 17, and she was very excited for it to be HER birthday. You see, the month of August is the birthday month in my family with Jeff on the 10th, Maddie on the 16th, Emma being born on the 24th, and so on. So by the time it's Camie's, she has been waiting a long time! I didn't do a huge party this year seeing that I had a 3-week-old. So we just took her out to lunch, just Jeff and I, and then had a family party at home. She kept saying she wanted a Buzz Lightyear Party, so that's what we did.
Some things about Camie at her age now: She is LOVING school. In fact, she is MAD if she doesn't get to go, like if the kids get a day off or something. She wakes up early every morning, ready to go. She loves picking out her own clothes for the day. She is super-confident and a born leader (as if we didn't know that already!) She enjoys playing with the boys, but at the same time still loves her Disney Princesses and girly things. She is doing really well with writing her letters and learning to count to 100. She loves to ride her bike and pesters us to take her out to ride it. She is very task-oriented. She loves helping and doing things. I can always count on her to do things for me, or to help me with things. She LOVES to cook and watch cooking shows. She is a great big sister, and although I never really catch her cooing over Emma, EVERY once and a while I will catch her being really sweet with her if she thinks I'm not looking. She likes to do things for Emma though, like holding her or feeding her a bottle. She is a great big sister.
When I brought cupcakes for Camie's class, she was very enthused that she got to help give out the Purell and pass out the cupcakes. She didn't want ANY help from me!
Her with her teacher, Mrs. Janet Trautman.
Jeff and I thought it would be nice to have some one-on-one time with Camie, so we took her to lunch.
Camie's cake that she wanted. I tried to make it look like Buzz was standing in moon dust (which was cookie crumbs.)
For her presents she got "Barbie and the Mermaid Tale" movie and doll, puzzles, a jump rope, a book and doll from Jeff's mom, some silly bands from Eric and Dall, Color Wonder books and Markers from Katie and Brant, and Maddie wanted to get her some lip gloss flavored like M&M's.
