Field Trip Fun

On February 11, I volunteered to go with Camie to her field trip to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.  I was excited because since I've had Emma at the beginning of the school year, I haven't been super-involved with Camie's school, and I feel bad.  I was in charge of being with Camie and a girl from her class, Mikayla.  They both had fun and I forgot my camera that day, so I had to use my phone.  Here are some pictures of our day:

Camie and Mikayla sitting in the print of a dinosaur's foot (or how big it would be.)  What is this pose that Camie is doing?  Sometimes I think she's 6 going on 13.

Camie on the momentum machine.  It showed you how when you put your feet in, you spin faster and when you put your leg out, it slows you down.

Upstairs at the cowboy exhibit.

The kindergarten ate in the foyer on long sheets of butcher paper.

Trying out different sizes of hula hoops.

I was shocked that during the presentation, they asked for volunteers, and Camie rose her hand.  A few minutes before, she was fighting me because she didn't want to watch it because it was "boring."  Who knew?  She put her hand on the ball and the static made her hair stand up.

In the gift shop, Camie and Mikayla put on bug masks.

At the end of the day, they went outside and had fun in the sunshine and brushing away at "dinosaur bones."  It was nice to talk to the other moms and see Camie in her school setting.

What a perfect day trip for her class. It's so wonderful to have such a rich diversity of culture and art so close. Between the museums and gallery's in Dallas and Fort Worth, your children will have a variety of opportunities to experience so much. My hope is they will have the same love and appreciation you had at such a young age.
On my next visit, I want to go over to my beloved SMU and visit the new museum there. What is it called again?
